Foothill Transit’s request is for $30 million to continue the conversion of their 314-bus fleet from diesel to cleaner-burning alternative fuels.  This conversion improves air quality and saves energy while providing transit options that reduce congestion.  With Foothill Transit providing bus service to a service territory of over 327 square miles, it is an essential component of the surface transportation solution in southern California.
