Dreier Announces Youth Volunteer Award Applications Now Available
March 5, 2009
SAN DIMAS, CA – Congressman David Dreier (R-San Dimas, CA) has announced that applications are now available for his annual Youth Volunteer Award. The award is open to all high school students between the ages of 14 and 18 residing in Congressman Dreier’s district. Award winners will be honored at a ceremony later this spring.
Over the last several years, Congressman Dreier has sponsored the Youth Volunteer Awards to honor the contributions young people have made through volunteer work. Dreier stated, “Each year, I have the privilege of honoring these young volunteers. It is always humbling to see the level of responsibility and commitment they give to our community. Far too often, teenagers are not recognized for the good they have done. My goal is to make sure they receive the recognition they have earned and deserve.”
